About The Position

At One Community Health (OCH), we believe dental care is an essential part of total person healthcare and our dental team is here to help patients on their journey to live well! The OCH dental team works closely with our medical and behavioral health providers to put patient physical, mental, emotional and social well-being at the center of patient care. The Dental Sterilization Assistant is an entry level position with potential for career growth while working on the job! This position works with the Dental Supervisor to ensure effective infection control required for dental instrument maintenance and sterilization. Functions will include, opening/closing the dental clinic, set up and disinfection of operatories, hand piece and instrument sterilization and maintenance, weekly and monthly maintenance duties, set up of dental trays, assist with supply stocking/inventory and periodontal probing. This position will be based our of our clinic in The Dalles, Oregon.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple activities and tasks.
  • Successful relationship management skills involving multidisciplinary teams in a diverse, multicultural environment.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification in accordance with OCH policy.
  • Successful completion of credentialing and privileging in accordance with OCH policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Medical Interpreter Qualified or open to obtaining.
  • Experience in a health-related setting.
  • Understand and work with HRSA requirements and expectations.
  • State Radiology Certification (or will obtain within 12 months of hire).
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting.
