Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a dental office, oral surgery, prosthodontic, periodontic, orthodontic, or other healthcare practice preferred.
- Experience in treatment coordination, patient scheduling, or patient services.
- Knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, claims, and predeterminations.
- Experience discussing treatment estimates, patient financing, and payment arrangements.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix (preferred), Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, or similar).
- Experience maintaining patient records and scheduling within a dental practice.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a warm, professional first impression.
- Manage patient check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, confirmations, and recalls.
- Verify dental insurance benefits, eligibility, and pre-authorizations when applicable.
- Prepare and review dental treatment plans with patients.
- Explain treatment recommendations, estimated patient financial responsibility, and financing options.
- Collect co-pays, payments, and outstanding balances while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Maintain accounts receivable (A/R) and assist with patient billing and collections.
- Answer multi-line phones and respond to patient questions regarding appointments, treatment, insurance, and payments.
- Maintain accurate electronic dental records (EHR/EMR), patient charts, consent forms, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
- Coordinate communication between patients, dentists, dental assistants, and laboratory staff.
- Support daily office operations to ensure an efficient patient flow.
