The Dental Operations Manager is responsible for managing operational aspects of dental sites, including daily operations, customer service, compliance, billing, business services (health information and referral), support staff, and facilities. This role provides management to departmental staff and is responsible for performance management, including recognition, performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. The manager also makes recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, and promotion. They are expected to demonstrate core leadership behaviors, foster a culture of accountability and excellence, and develop action plans to support organizational goals. Empowering staff through effective communication and talent building, delegating duties, and managing departmental budgets are key aspects of this position. Ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing training, and recommending workflow changes based on performance metrics are also crucial responsibilities. The role involves overseeing various operational functions, including front registration, clinical quality measures, referral processes, and health information handling. Efficient patient flow, staff scheduling, and addressing support staff concerns and patient complaints are also part of the job. Collaboration with supervisors and other departments is essential for resolving patient issues and ensuring coordinated patient facilitation among sites. Adherence to the Attendance and Absenteeism Policy and the ability to work at any FHCN location are required.
