Dental Hygienist
About The Position
Arlington Dental Aesthetics is seeking a full-time, friendly, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join its growing team. The practice describes its environment as modern, supportive, and collaborative, with an emphasis on work-life balance, quality care, and appointments that are not rushed. Recall appointments are 60 minutes, new patient appointments are 75 minutes, and scaling and root planing appointments are scheduled based on provider recommendation. The role pays $65–$67 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with no evenings or weekends. The hygienist will work with CBCT, a Nomad™ handheld X-ray, an iTero® digital scanner, intraoral cameras, and Dentrix practice management software.
Requirements
- Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license or awaiting licensure; new graduates are welcome.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis).
- Complete periodontal charting.
- Provide scaling and root planing (SRP).
- Take digital radiographs.
- Administer fluoride treatments.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Partner with doctors and team members to provide exceptional patient experiences.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and follow infection control protocols.
