About The Position

Health Center Inc., also known as The New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of NYC, Inc Employee Benefit Funds, is a New York City-based healthcare organization with ambulatory care facilities that provide medical and diagnostic services. Its facilities offer Primary Care, Dental, Radiological, Vision, Mental Health, and other specialist services at no charge to union members. The organization is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide dental services to union members, with the stated mission of supporting underserved communities. This position is for the Midtown location at 14 Penn Plaza.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• New York State license in dental hygiene.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Prior experience in a dental office or healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient oral inspections and complete dental charting.
• Perform appropriate dental procedures on patients.
• Educate patients on methods to control oral disease.
• Reassure patients as needed.
• Compile information for the dentist or specialist to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Participate in quality assurance/risk management committee meetings, as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
