Requirements
- Hold an active Registered Dental Hygienist license.
- Maintain current CPR (BLS) certification.
- Have exceptional working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation.
- Hold any additional certification or license required by the state to perform specified duties.
Responsibilities
- Provide concierge-level care and demonstrate exceptional chairside manner to build patient trust.
- Identify signs of periodontal disease or potential oral cancers to support patients’ oral health.
- Document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints.
- Take X-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and document progress or changes.
- Perform oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist.
- Respond to sudden adverse developments during treatment by providing appropriate emergency measures.
- Provide instructions for at-home care and oral health maintenance.
