About The Position

This position will work at our Virginia Beach Health Science campus location. ECPI University operates on a five-week term model. Adjunct faculty typically teach one course section during each five-week term, though teaching assignments may vary based on campus needs and instructor availability. Since 1966, the dedicated employees at ECPI University have helped students achieve their goals via practical training and career-focused education with over 50 Associates, Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs. Our culture is to prioritize our students’ success through the support of our dynamic team and industry focused curriculum. We are seeking Dental Assisting professionals to join our faculty team. As a faculty member, you'll provide practical hands-on instruction in an engaging learning environment, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies in order to enhance the learning experience of our students and achieve learning outcomes. This would be an ideal position for a Dental Assisting professional. Our terms are five weeks long, and class sizes are small which give our faculty the perfect environment in which to share their specific industry experience. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Associate’s degree in Dental Assisting and enrolled in/actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
CDA or will acquire CDA within 3 months of hire.
3 years of related work experience.
Documented background in, and current knowledge of, dental assisting and the specific subjects to be taught.
Strong academic and professional record.
Strong active-learning skills for effective instruction.
Experience in a student-centric and hands-on learning environment.
The highest levels of integrity at all times.
Orientation toward results.
Exemplary interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

2 years teaching or presentation experience a plus.
