About The Position

Thousand Oaks Dentistry is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant who is motivated and passionate about providing excellent oral healthcare. The practice is patient-focused, emphasizes five-star service, and gives assistants the time needed to provide care they can be proud of. The role is part of a team led by Dr. Malia Thao and an office affiliated with Mercy Dental Group, whose mission is to help families experience compassionate, community-focused, and extraordinary oral healthcare.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and workflow while paying attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to deal effectively with multiple personalities at all levels.
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work enthusiastically amid constantly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Provide chair-side assistance.
Set up treatment rooms in preparation for patients.
Take down and clean treatment rooms.
Sterilize instruments.
Stock and clean treatment rooms, the sterilization area, and the lab.
Make patient follow-up calls.
Take X-rays and 3D images.
