About The Position
TeamstersCare is seeking a dependable, people-oriented full-time Dental Assistant to join its established, busy, growing dental practice in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, serving union members and their beneficiaries. The Dental Assistant provides patient-focused care, supports the dentist during procedures, and helps maintain a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients. The position is a 40-hour workweek that includes some evenings and alternating Saturdays. A valid Massachusetts Dental Assistant License is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Valid Massachusetts Dental Assistant License.
- X-ray and CPR/AED certification.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with dental software.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a Dental Assistant, or relevant experience through internships.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care in preparation for treatments.
- Create a welcoming environment for patients.
- Manage patients’ comfort during exams, including helping reduce anxiety.
- Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure appropriate instruments are available.
- Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
- Support front desk operations as needed, including check-in, scheduling, and phone support.
- Take X-rays and impressions as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the dentist.
