About The Position

As a Dental Assistant at Aspen Dental, you will support the clinical needs of patients and doctors, contributing to patient care and helping make a difference in the community. The role includes assisting with treatment procedures, taking dental x-rays, managing operatory setup and patient flow, maintaining infection control, educating patients about oral hygiene, and completing a range of dental and office tasks. Requirements

Active x-ray certificate as a Dental Radiation Technologist, as required by the state of Maryland.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Take dental x-rays.
Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
Perform digital intraoral scans.
Support patient charting for doctors.
Perform various office tasks as necessary.
Collaborate with the practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
