About The Position

Conveniently located at 1716 Bath Rd, LightHouse Dental serves the Kingston community. We offer complete, comprehensive, and high quality dental care in a relaxed environment that is welcoming to patients of all ages, including young children. We offer general dentistry as well as specialty services such as oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), dentures, and sedation (sleep dentistry) all in one convenient location. There’s no need to travel out of town for specialist appointments. Requirements

Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
