About The Position

Perry Dental Health is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant in San Antonio, Texas. The Dental Assistant supports dentists in patient care and clinical procedures, helps patients feel comfortable, prepares and maintains treatment areas, and completes related recordkeeping and laboratory tasks. The position rotates between Dr. Duque and Dr. Perry, offering clinical experience with multiple providers. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, beginning with a 7:45 AM huddle and ending at 5:00 PM. Fridays are occasional half-days from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The position includes a 60-minute lunch break.

Requirements

Active Texas dental assistant license.
Dental Assistant training or school certification.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Experience with digital software.
Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentists chairside.
Welcome patients.
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups and ensure their comfort.
Select and set up instrumentation, equipment, and other dental materials as needed.
Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Perform laboratory tasks as instructed.
Provide post-operative care instructions.
Maintain clean and stocked operatories.
