About The Position

Dental One Associates is hiring a Dental Assistant in Waldorf, Maryland. The Dental Assistant supports the office and professional dental staff in providing treatment and a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The role contributes to the practice’s mission of providing excellent dental care in the community and creating positive patient experiences. Prior dental assisting experience is required. The position is full-time, with an alternating schedule of Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The stated hourly pay range is $24 to $26. Requirements

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
At least one year of on-the-job experience.
X-ray certification is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior dental assisting experience is required.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Follow infection-control protocols, protect patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.
