About The Position

Blue United Sourcing is partnering with a growing, multi-location dental group in Jacksonville, Florida, to hire a Dental Assistant (DA I). This on-site role provides chairside support across a full range of dental procedures and offers a DA I–III career path, with promotions and raises based on performance rather than tenure. The position is full-time W2, with a fixed schedule of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM. The salary range is $20–$34.50 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated performance. The total compensation package includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus paid time off.

Requirements

At least one year of chairside dental assisting experience, including experience with fillings and crowns.
Before the start date, hold at least one active Florida credential: graduation from a Florida Board-approved Dental Assisting program, an active Florida Dental Radiographer Certificate, or an active Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate.
Availability for the full fixed schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM.
Ability to stand chairside for most of the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

EFDA certification or expanded functions training.
CEREC experience.
Current CPR/BLS certification; certification is required within the first 30 days.
Experience with Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance across all procedures to support efficient dental care and patient comfort.
Set up, break down, and sterilize operatories and instruments between appointments.
Maintain infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
Take digital radiographs in accordance with Florida radiation safety standards.
Document procedures in Open Dental.
Walk patients through next steps and post-care instructions.
