About The Position

Blue United Sourcing is partnering with a growing, multi-location dental group in Jacksonville, Florida, to hire a Dental Assistant (DA I). The Dental Assistant provides chairside support across a full range of dental procedures, helping the doctor work efficiently and keeping patients comfortable. The role offers a DA I–III career path, with promotions and raises based on performance rather than tenure. The position is on-site in Jacksonville and follows a fixed Monday–Thursday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Compensation is $20–$34.50 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated performance.

Requirements

At least 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience, including fillings and crowns.
Before the start date, hold at least one active Florida credential: graduation from a Florida Board-approved Dental Assisting program, an active Florida Dental Radiographer Certificate, or an active Florida Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certificate.
Availability for the full fixed schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM.
Ability to stand chairside for most of the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

EFDA certification or expanded functions training.
CEREC experience.
Experience with Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar dental software.
Current CPR/BLS certification; if not already held, it is required within the first 30 days.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance across dental procedures to support the doctor’s efficiency and patient comfort.
Set up, break down, and sterilize operatories and instruments between appointments.
Maintain infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
Take digital radiographs in accordance with Florida radiation safety standards.
Document procedures in Open Dental and explain next steps and post-care instructions to patients.
