About The Position

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Dental Assistant with EDDA/EFDA credentials to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. The position reports to the Lead Dental Assistant and supports the organization’s mission to serve underserved children. The role includes building friendly relationships with patients and parents, educating them about oral health, maintaining and sterilizing instruments and workstations, documenting patient records, and keeping the practice clean and presentable. The employee may also perform other duties that support the business and its mission.

Requirements

Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
Active EDDA/EFDA certification or registration.
Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
Current BLS CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of e-Clinical Works.
Previous experience working in a dental office.

Responsibilities

Build friendly relationships with patients and parents and educate them about good oral health.
Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations in accordance with OSHA standards.
Provide clear, effective, and encouraging oral hygiene instructions.
Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Perform other duties that support the delivery of high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children and support the business.
