Dental / Orthodontic Assistant (Pediatric Experience Preferred)
About The Position
Pediatric Dentistry of Bronx is seeking a warm, organized, and experienced Dental Assistant for its pediatric dental team. The role helps provide a positive dental experience for children and supports quality patient care in a supportive, kid-friendly, team-oriented environment. The position is full-time and pays $20.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience. Work is in person at the Bronx, NY 10468 location. Applicants must be able to commute or relocate before starting. Spanish fluency is required. Pediatric experience is preferred, and an X-ray license is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- At least one year of dental assisting experience or a dental assisting certification.
- Spanish-speaking ability is required.
- Calm, reliable, and confident demeanor with young patients.
- Must be able to commute to or relocate to the Bronx, NY location before starting.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric dental experience is preferred.
- An X-ray license is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures and exams.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for care.
- Take X-rays and maintain a clean, sterile workspace.
- Review patient medical histories and enter treatment notes.
- Help with front desk tasks and improve patient flow.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families in English and Spanish.
- Maintain inventory and ensure clinical supplies are stocked and ready.
