About The Position

We are looking for an experienced chairside Dental Assistant who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and supports a positive experience for patients and teammates. This hands-on, in-person role assists the dentist with general and restorative procedures and also helps patients understand treatment recommendations and costs, make informed decisions, and schedule follow-up care before leaving. The clinical team works with full schedules, so each team member contributes to keeping the day running smoothly. The role requires predictable, on-time attendance for the full scheduled shift, professional and respectful communication, focus on patients during care, and a team-first approach. The Dental Assistant should be comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements, actively managing appointments, and maintaining professional grooming and clean scrubs. Chairside work includes physical tasks and exposure to blood, saliva, radiation, disinfectants, and dental materials, with safety protocols and reasonable accommodations as applicable. The hiring process includes a phone screen and an in-office working interview. Prior employers are contacted for references, including questions about attendance, dependability, and teamwork; candidates should provide at least two supervisor references. Offers are contingent on satisfactory reference and background checks. New team members complete a 90-day introductory period.

  • 1 to 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience.
  • Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements with patients.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of chairside work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Reliable, regular, predictable, and on-time attendance for the full scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work in person and remain focused on patients during care.
  • Positive, professional attitude; ability to take feedback and treat patients and coworkers with respect.
  • Team-first approach, open communication, and willingness to help the office succeed.
  • Comfort discussing costs clearly and confidently.
  • Ability to schedule from the chair, confirm appointments ahead, and address open schedule slots.
  • Professional hygiene, grooming, and clean scrubs each shift.
