About The Position

Messenger Digital Dentistry is a high-tech, fully digital general practice in North Adams, Massachusetts. The practice provides patient-first general dentistry in a relaxed, upscale environment and is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, full-time Dental Assistant to support the dentist and clinical team. The role involves chairside assistance, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, taking radiographs, maintaining infection-control standards, supporting patients, and assisting with records and supplies. The position is in person and hands-on, with occasional standing, bending, and lifting of dental equipment. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m.–1 p.m. The practice offers hands-on training and mentorship with two seasoned doctors. Compensation is $25–$33 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

X-ray certification.
Reliability and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a dental office or clinical setting.
Experience with Dentrix.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, including preparation and instrument support.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before appointments.
Take dental radiographs in accordance with regulations.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection-control protocols.
Prepare impressions, models, and temporary restorations as needed.
Welcome patients and prepare them comfortably for treatment.
Review medical histories and keep patient records current.
Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
Help patients feel at ease and address their concerns during visits.
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
Manage inventory and keep dental supplies stocked and ready.
Support compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental regulations.
