About The Position

At Aspen Dental, the Dental Assistant supports the clinical needs of patients and doctors and contributes to patient care and satisfaction. The role includes assisting with treatment procedures, imaging, infection control, patient education, clinical documentation, and other practice tasks. Aspen Dental provides training and support to help assistants develop their careers and serve their communities. The position is full-time, with a stated pay range of $18–$20 per hour. Aspen Dental describes its practices as independently owned and operated by licensed dentists, with non-clinical business support provided by Aspen Dental Management, Inc.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice, including x-ray certification if required.

Responsibilities

Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Take dental x-rays.
Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
Execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow within the practice.
Manage infection control, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
Perform digital intraoral scans.
Support patient charting for doctors.
Perform various office tasks as necessary.
Collaborate with the practice team to ensure optimum patient satisfaction.
