About The Position
Hero Practice Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist at Kids Dental Place and Orthodontics in Huntington Park, California. The assistant helps provide high-quality, compassionate dental care to patients, including children in underserved communities. The position is for Saturdays only and is bilingual in Spanish.
Requirements
- Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly, outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
- Ability to multitask and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
- Current BLS CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW).
- Previous experience working in a dental office.
Responsibilities
- Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
- Obtain requested dental radiographs, including periapicals, bitewings, and panoramic images.
- Write accurate and consistent notes and ensure chart notes match the services completed.
- Build friendly relationships with patients and parents and educate them about good oral health.
- Organize and sterilize dental instruments and workstations according to OSHA standards.
- Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Perform other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
