Dental Assistant (Orthodontics )
About The Position
Premier Dental Group is hiring an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to work alongside orthodontist Dr. Katrina Foster-Sweet, DDS, and travel to sister locations, including Manus Dental Hyde Park and Downtown Dental River North. The role can be part-time or full-time, depending on availability. The listed schedule is Wednesday at Premier from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday in Hyde Park from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position offers hourly pay up to $26.00, commensurate with experience, plus monthly office incentives and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Qualified candidates may be invited to an on-site paid working interview.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of orthodontic dental assisting experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to travel to the Hyde Park sister location up to three times a month.
Nice To Haves
- Coronal polishing certification.
- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software.
Responsibilities
- Assist Dr. Foster-Sweet during dental and orthodontic procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments according to infection-control protocols.
- Take and process dental X-rays accurately and safely.
- Provide chairside assistance and help ensure patient comfort.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Keep the treatment area clean, stocked, and organized.
- Travel to sister locations, including Hyde Park, as needed.
