The role supports general dentistry and implant surgery, helping the clinical day run smoothly and ensuring patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for. The practice has served the East Bay community for more than 25 years and offers hands-on experience with digital dental technology.

Requirements

Dental assisting experience and confidence supporting patient care.

Nice To Haves

Experience with implant dentistry, including implant systems, bone grafts, and sinus lift procedures.
Experience with surgical instruments and procedure setup.
Experience with dental photography and digital scanning.
Experience with digital design and 3D printing.
Experience fabricating provisional crowns, whitening trays, and retainers.
Coronal polishing experience, with appropriate credentials.

Responsibilities

Assist chairside during general dental and surgical procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and trays for planned procedures.
Take dental X-rays, panoramic images, and CBCT scans when appropriately trained and authorized.
Review medical histories and medications, take vital signs, and confirm consent forms are complete.
Help patients understand oral hygiene recommendations and dentist-directed preoperative and postoperative instructions.
Clean and disinfect treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and follow infection-control procedures.
Monitor inventory, organize supplies, and assist with ordering.
Perform additional clinical duties within the employee’s training, credentials, and permitted scope.
