About The Position

Great Expressions Dental Centers is seeking an energetic and motivated Dental Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced dental practice. This is a part-time role scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, traveling among three offices. Mileage reimbursement is provided. The Dental Assistant will help the dental team deliver patient care, prepare and maintain treatment rooms, assist dentists during procedures, educate patients, and handle scheduling and records. Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate. Applicants must meet the applicable state requirements before applying. Requirements vary by state and may include CPR certification, dental assisting or expanded functions certification, and proof of training to expose X-rays. Michigan applicants may provide X-ray training certification within eight weeks of hiring if they do not have it at the time of hire.

Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays, including an FDOH Permit to expose X-rays.
Georgia: CPR certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
Massachusetts: CPR certification, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and completion of annual continuing education requirements under state regulations.
Michigan: Furnish evidence of X-ray training certification upon hiring, or submit it within eight weeks of hiring.
New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays, including an FDOH Permit to Expose X-rays.
Texas: CPR certification and TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners requirement.

Nice To Haves

Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education; the employer is willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Assist the dental team in providing patient care.
