Part-Time Dental/Clinical Assistant - North Charleston, South Carolina
About The Position
Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a dependable, experienced Dental Assistant to support our Dentist and Optometrist in a calm, structured outpatient clinic setting serving senior patients in North Charleston. This role is intentionally low-volume and predictable — ideal for someone who wants to maintain clinical skills, earn supplemental income, and support meaningful care without the pace or pressure of a traditional dental office. This is not a high-pressure dental office. Instead, you’ll work in a community-based outpatient clinic model with full-time clinic staff onsite, organized scheduling and predictable patient flow, a supportive, team-based environment, a value-based care model focused on seniors, and strong administrative and logistical support from CMC. Our Dental Assistants are essential partners in ensuring smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.
Requirements
- Dental Assisting experience required
- Reliability — this schedule depends on consistent attendance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort working in a structured, team-based clinic environment
Nice To Haves
- Dental Assisting Registration/Certification preferred (if required by state)
- Experience with senior populations is a plus
- Optometry cross-training is provided
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits
- Support patient intake and basic documentation
- Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
- Assist with equipment setup and patient flow
- Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
