Dental Assistant - Prosthodontist
About The Position
ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a Prosthodontist Dental Assistant to support the clinical team and provide care during advanced dental procedures, particularly dental implant treatments. The assistant works directly with the Prosthodontist and supports related prosthetic, oral surgery, and periodontics work while helping ensure patients feel comfortable and informed. The role also includes clinical preparation, infection control, imaging, patient education, inventory and lab coordination, recordkeeping, and general office tasks. The position is full-time, pays $23–$25 per hour based on experience and certification, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend shifts required.
Requirements
- Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
- At least 2 years of previous experience in a dental assisting role.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle dental instruments precisely.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Comfort with radiographic equipment and digital dental technology.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with dental implants or prosthodontics is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Prosthodontist with advanced dental procedures, particularly dental implant treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment and maintain strict infection control standards.
- Provide chair-side assistance, anticipate the dentist’s needs, and keep the treatment area clear and organized.
- Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visits.
- Take dental x-rays, process radiographs, and assist with radiographic imaging.
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
- Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene.
- Support the prosthetic team with inventory management, lab coordination, and recordkeeping.
- Perform office tasks such as scheduling appointments, receiving patients, maintaining records, and ordering supplies.
- Collaborate with oral surgeons, hygienists, Patient Education Consultants, and other clinical staff to support patient care.
- Assist in specialized areas such as oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
