About The Position

Dental Dreams is hiring a radiology-certified Dental Assistant for its high-volume office on Alabama Avenue in Washington, DC. The role requires a caring professional with excellent customer service skills who can assist with administrative tasks and work as an organized, detail-oriented team member. The Dental Assistant works under the general supervision and guidance of a dentist and supports patient examinations and treatment. Dental Dreams provides dental services in first-class facilities, with a mission to serve underserved communities.

Requirements

Be fully licensed in DC.
Be radiology certified; this is required.
Have a passion for caring and excellent customer service.
Be able to assist with administrative tasks.
Be a team player and well-organized, with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Work under the general supervision and guidance of a dentist.
Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental examinations and treatment.
Chart during dental examinations.
Take and process X-rays.
Sterilize and maintain instruments and the sterilization area.
Set up and break down operatories.
Assist with supply inventory and ordering.
Maintain a clean and professional office environment.
Assist with presenting and/or explaining treatment plans.
Maintain a high level of customer service.
Work as part of a team, emphasizing communication.
