About The Position

Happy Kids Dentistry is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant for its onsite pediatric dental practice in Gig Harbor, Washington. The role supports dentists and helps create a positive, comfortable dental experience for children while contributing to their oral health. Prior dental-assisting experience is preferred, but the practice is willing to train the right candidate.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation is $18 to $24 per hour. Employment offers are contingent on successfully completing a background check and pre-employment drug screening; the practice maintains a zero-tolerance drug policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet young patients and help them feel comfortable during dental visits.
• Assist the dentist during procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Take dental X-rays, including digital radiographs.
• Explain treatment plans to parents.
• Help children understand dental hygiene through playful interactions.
