About The Position

Terry Reilly is hiring a Dental Assistant for its Nampa 1st location. The role supports integrated dental care across the Treasure Valley and includes assisting providers with patient treatment, clinic preparation, sterilization, radiographs, supplies, and equipment. The Dental Assistant explains treatment plans, procedures, and costs to patients and performs expanded duties according to certification and the Rules of the Idaho State Board of Dentistry.

Requirements

Considerable manual dexterity to pass instruments to the dentist.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned essential duties.
Willingness and ability to perform dental assisting duties described in the Idaho State Board of Dentistry Dental Assistant Practice, including radiographs and use of nitrous oxide.
Ability and willingness to carry equipment weighing approximately 40 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Knowledge and training in general dental assisting, endodontics, oral surgery, crown and bridge, and prosthetic dentistry.
Ability to work with the public and good communication skills.
Expanded Functions Certification.
Flexibility to work proficiently with different providers and locations.
Graduation from a Dental Assistant Program or comparable training and experience.

Responsibilities

Perform four-handed dentistry.
Explain treatment plans and procedures to patients, including treatment costs.
Set up and break down for each patient encounter.
Sterilize instruments and maintain clinic supply inventory.
Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining equipment.
Take radiographs and perform expanded duties according to certification and the Rules of the Idaho State Board of Dentistry.
Maintain infection control policies and procedures.
