About The Position

Timber Creek Recycling is seeking a hands-on Site Lead to support operations at its Nampa recycling location. The role performs daily operational tasks, leads a small team of 2–3 operators, maintains safety standards, and supports customer satisfaction. It involves operating heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and trommel screens, and guiding site operations related to incoming materials, production, and coordination with other departments.

Requirements

Practical experience in recycling, composting, agriculture, construction, or waste management.
At least 3 years of operational experience, including operating a range of heavy equipment.
At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to perform manual tasks and lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs.
Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures in industrial settings.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
Ability to manage and motivate a team.
High school education or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual English/Spanish.
CDL Class A license.
Previous experience with composting systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in training personnel and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Monitor recycled-material production to ensure quality and efficiency.
Oversee site operations, including personally operating heavy equipment.
Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and performing regular inspections.
Conduct small-team meetings to discuss daily goals, performance, and updates.
Perform basic equipment and facility maintenance, report major issues to operations management, and facilitate repairs.
Assist in implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and increase production.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
