About The Position

Central Connecticut Endodontic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join its team in West Hartford, Connecticut. The role supports endodontists during root canal procedures and other endodontic treatments in a professional, patient-focused specialty dental practice. The practice emphasizes exceptional patient care, clinical excellence, a gentle approach, advanced techniques, and a comfortable environment. Requirements

• Prior dental assisting experience is preferred; endodontic experience is a plus.
• Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
• Radiography certification or an X-ray license is required, or the ability to obtain one.
• Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records.
• Strong chairside manner and a patient-first, compassionate approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced specialty dental environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist endodontists during root canal procedures and other endodontic treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, operatories, and treatment trays before procedures.
• Take and process digital dental X-rays and radiographs.
• Greet patients, review medical histories, and provide chairside support to promote patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment notes in dental software.
• Manage dental supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
• Follow OSHA, infection-control, and safety protocols.
