About The Position

Smile Dental Care is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant with an X-ray license. Dental Assistants deliver “Best in Class” care to every patient and assist the dentist during a variety of procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, patience, quick thinking, and a desire to help others. Experienced dental assistants and candidates motivated to learn about the dental industry are encouraged to apply. The role includes clinical, patient-care, and administrative duties, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting during procedures, taking and processing X-rays, supporting lab tasks, scheduling appointments, advising patients on oral hygiene, maintaining records, and assisting with payments. The position offers $24–$28 per hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

X-ray license required.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of dental assisting experience preferred.
Knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
Take and process patient X-rays.
Perform lab tasks as instructed.
Greet patients and schedule appointments.
Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
Communicate oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental practice.
