Dental Assistant - Orthodontics
About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with Arizona dental standards. Requirements
- Current BLS certification.
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Invisalign is preferred.
- Arizona X-Ray certification is preferred.
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor with procedures, including Invisalign.
- Take x-rays.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and break down treatment rooms and prepare them for treatment.
- Chart patient treatment.
