About The Position

As a Dental Assistant at Ideal Dental, you will support patients and the dental team while helping deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. The role includes assisting with dental procedures, supporting patient comfort and transitions, maintaining treatment rooms and sterilized instruments, and contributing to accurate diagnoses and treatment planning through X-rays, impressions, bite registrations, digital iTero scans, charting, and documentation. You will also educate patients about oral hygiene and collaborate with the practice team to provide a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience as an RDA in a dental practice.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and help ensure a positive patient experience.
• Assist dentists with a wide range of procedures and prepare and educate guests before the doctor’s examination.
• Take dental X-rays.
• Prepare and break down treatment rooms and operatories, keeping them clean, organized, and efficient.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control standards.
• Manage patient flow and facilitate smooth handoffs and transitions during visits.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene practices.
• Take impressions and bite registrations.
• Use the iTero scanner to conduct digital scans.
• Record each guest’s medical history and assist with patient charting and documentation.
• Chart existing and recommended treatments to support treatment planning and record-keeping.
• Work collaboratively with the practice team to provide quality guest care and support patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as required to support the office.
