About The Position

Dental Assistants provide care to patients and assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures. The role suits an empathetic, patient, quick-thinking person who is willing to help others. Candidates may have prior experience or be motivated to learn more about the dental industry.

The Dental Assistant helps prepare and maintain the practice, supports patients with oral hygiene and post-operative instructions, and contributes to administrative tasks. The position offers a guaranteed hourly rate of $20–$25 depending on experience. Benefits are offered to employees working 30 hours or more.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of Dental Assisting experience.
• Knowledge of general mouth anatomy and dental terminology.
• Understanding of crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants.
• Strong communication skills.
• Professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with coworkers and patients.
• A driven attitude and desire to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs.
• Take and process patient X-rays.
• Perform laboratory tasks as instructed.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments.
• Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Handle general administrative duties and other tasks to maintain the dental practice.
