Dental Assistant
About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This is a Saturdays-only position. The pay range is $20.67–$26.88 per hour, based on experience. CHOICE Healthcare Services’ mission is to provide everyone access to the healthcare they need. Requirements
- X-Ray certification.
- BLS certification.
- 8-hour Infection Control certification.
- 2-hour Dental Practice Act certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Assist the doctor during procedures.
- Take x-rays.
- Take IOs.
- Assist with prophylaxis teeth cleanings.
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene.
- Chart cavities and teeth with the doctor.
- Sterilize instruments.
- Set up and break down rooms and prepare them for treatment and hygiene.
- Chart patients’ treatment and treatment plans with the doctor.
