About The Position

Mid America Health is seeking a Dental Assistant to join its Ohio team at Marion Correctional Institution in Marion, Ohio. This full-time position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role includes administrative and routine chairside duties, with a greater focus on administrative work. Training in administrative duties will be provided. Clinical care includes preventive, restorative, extraction, and prosthodontic care, with very limited endodontics and no orthodontics or crown and bridge work required.

The position is described as a low-stress alternative to private-practice dentistry and as an opportunity to serve an underserved population. Mid America Health emphasizes work/life balance and reports that no late nights or weekends are required. Compensation is $19 or more per hour, and a $1,000 sign-on bonus is available. Requirements

• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
• Active Ohio Dental Radiographer license.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience is strongly preferred.
• Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program is preferred.
