About The Position

Dental One Associates is seeking a Dental Assistant in Waldorf, Maryland, to support the clinical team and professional dental staff in a team-based environment. The role contributes to excellent community dental care and patient satisfaction by assisting with treatment and delivering a positive patient experience. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience. The position is full-time, with alternating schedules of Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., or Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Compensation is $24–$26 per hour. The office uses modern dental technology.

Requirements

Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
One year of on-the-job experience.
X-ray certification (required).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior dental assisting experience.
Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients about oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
