About The Position

Nuvia Dental Implant Center is hiring Dental Assistants, also referred to as surgical assistants, to support surgeons and restorative dentists in delivering safe, high-quality patient care. The role covers the full process from preparing for surgery and assisting with implant procedures to taking impressions and X-rays, placing orders, and working directly with patients. Assistants also help ensure patients receive their prosthetics within 24 hours, address daily operational challenges, and prepare for upcoming cases. The role involves preparing instruments and patients for surgery, reviewing expectations with the surgeon and CRNA, and assisting the CRNA with intubation. Dental Assistants participate in morning huddles, maintain supplies and sterilization, handle lab requests, complete surgery reports, and review charts, lab cases, and implants to plan for the next day. Nuvia describes its procedures as nearly all closed-airway surgeries and provides branded scrubs and support from dental assistant leads and an operations manager.

Requirements

Registered Dental Assistant with all proper certifications.
BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Self-starter who works well as part of a team.
Patient-centric, with good communication skills.
Outgoing and empathetic.
Flexible and a quick learner.
Great organizational skills and a high level of office aptitude.

Responsibilities

Live company core values.
Take impressions and pour molds.
Take patient photos.
Take X-rays and cone-beam scans.
Set up appointments in the scheduling platform.
Set up and take down operating rooms, ensuring needed resources are available in the room.
Place orders for basic and implant supplies.
Adjust and reline prostheses.
Assist doctors during a variety of surgical implant procedures.
Deliver pre- and post-operative instructions.
Perform sterilization and daily cleaning.
Manage patient expectations and deliver patient care.
Prepare instruments and patients for surgery and review surgery expectations with the surgeon and CRNA.
Assist the CRNA with the intubation process and assist with surgery.
Participate in morning huddles to review schedules and discuss patient needs.
Work efficiently to meet lab deadlines and help ensure patients receive prosthetics within 24 hours.
Problem-solve equipment challenges, patient delays, and patient concerns.
Perform ongoing tasks such as ordering supplies, sterilization, ensuring compliance, and handling lab requests or questions.
Complete surgery reports at the end of the day.
Review patient charts, lab cases, and implants and prepare an action plan for the following day.

Benefits

Base pay of $25–$30 per hour, with potential compensation described as $25–$46 per hour including bonuses.
