About The Position

As an Oral Surgeon Dental Assistant at Aspen Dental, you will support the clinical needs of patients and doctors and help deliver patient care across nearby offices. The role includes assisting with treatment procedures, taking dental X-rays, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, and educating patients about oral hygiene. You will work collaboratively with the dental team and perform office tasks as needed. The position requires daily travel to assigned offices and a valid, non-restricted driver’s license with appropriate insurance, or eligibility for coverage under the employer’s fleet insurance program if assigned a company vehicle. Responsibilities and conditions may vary by independently owned and operated Aspen Dental locations.

Requirements

Active license, registration, or permit as required by the state of practice, including X-ray certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid, non-restricted driver’s license and appropriate insurance, or the ability to be insured under the employer’s fleet insurance program if assigned a company fleet vehicle.

Responsibilities

Travel to nearby offices to support patient care.
Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Take dental X-rays.
Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain good oral health.
Perform office tasks as necessary.
Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
