About The Position

Garfield Dental Group is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to work closely with dentists and other team members to provide dental care to patients and perform light administrative duties. The practice has a small, cross-trained team, and staff help across departments. The position is based at 2815 N Garfield Rd, Traverse City, Michigan.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The team includes a lead full-time dentist, a part-time dentist, a full-time front desk coordinator, a full-time registered dental hygienist, two part-time dental hygienists, and a full-time dental assistant.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience with a wide range of general dentistry procedures.
• CPR certification.
• Computer efficiency, including charting and scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients.
• Integrity-focused work ethic.
• Team-player attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Openness to new systems and techniques, direction, and feedback.
• X-ray certification in Michigan is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Michigan X-ray certification.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with dentists and other team members to provide dental care to patients.
