About The Position
Dr. Steven Rasner is seeking a Dental Assistant in Vineland, New Jersey, to support the clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction in a team-based environment. The Dental Assistant supports the office and professional dental staff during treatment, helping provide excellent dental care and positive patient experiences. Prior dental assisting experience is required. This is a part-time position scheduled Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hourly pay range is $25 to $29. Requirements
- Prior dental assisting experience.
- Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
- Two years of on-the-job experience.
- X-ray certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
Nice To Haves
- Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
- Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
- Follow infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
- Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
