About The Position
We are a long-established dental practice under NEW ownership seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant (DA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our wonderful team in Oakland, NJ on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This position is expected to begin soon and run for several months. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for this role to transition to a full-time permanent opportunity. As a part of our team, you will help deliver high-quality care to our patients in a professional, welcoming environment.
Requirements
- Valid X-Ray license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a passion for patient care
Nice To Haves
- RDA certification is a plus
- Experience in four-handed dentistry is a plus
- Experience with dental software is a plus
- If Entry Level, on-the-job training is available
Responsibilities
- Preparation & sterilization of instruments and operatories
- Assisting the doctor (experience in four-handed dentistry is a plus)
- Taking dental radiographs (if licensed) and assist with patient assessments
- Reviewing medical histories and updating patient records
- Maintaining OSHA and infection control standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper sterilization techniques are followed
- Work closely with the dentist to provide excellent patient care
