The Dental Assistant II supports the dentist and dental team, helps maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, and contributes to a smooth, comfortable patient experience.
Requirements
- Current CPR certification.
- Coronal polishing certification.
- X-ray certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in dental procedures and instrument handling.
- Thorough understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
- A compassionate approach to patient care and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Support the dentist during procedures by managing instruments, suctioning, and helping ensure patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Capture dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
- Guide patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Accurately update patient records and dental charts in EHR systems.
- Follow sterilization and disinfection protocols.
- Help manage and confirm patient appointments.
- Collaborate with the dental team to support smooth patient flow.
