About The Position

The Dental Assistant II supports the dentist and dental team by assisting chairside during procedures, helping provide patient care, capturing dental X-rays, educating patients, managing records and appointments, and maintaining infection-control standards. The role also helps ensure smooth patient flow and a clean, organized treatment environment.

Requirements

• Current CPR certification.
• Coronal polishing certification.
• X-ray certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in dental procedures and instrument handling.
• Thorough understanding of infection-control protocols and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the dentist during procedures by managing instruments, suctioning, and helping ensure patient comfort.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Capture dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Guide patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options.
• Accurately update patient records and dental charts in EHR systems.
• Follow sterilization and disinfection protocols.
• Help manage and confirm patient appointments.
• Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and provide support.
