About The Position

The Dental Assistant II assists in the overall delivery of care and is an integral member of the patient care team. The role focuses on consistently delivering a memorable and enjoyable service experience to every patient. The position is based in Stockton, California, and is Saturday only. It reports to the Practice Manager and is classified as non-exempt.

Requirements

Dental Assistant Certification (required).
Current CPR certification (required).
Infection Control Certificate (required).
Radiation Certificate (required).
Coronal Polishing Certificate (required).
Completion of KCDO competency assessment.
Upbeat personality.
Enjoy working with children.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Clean, neat, professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Dentrix.

Responsibilities

Prepare the office with daily opening and closing duties.
Prepare treatment areas for patients by following procedures and protocols.
Welcome, comfort, and seat patients in preparation for dental treatment.
Assist doctors during treatment procedures.
Perform dental infection control procedures.
Take x-rays.
Perform cleanings.
Perform lab-related procedures.
Hand off patients at check-out.
Complete care calls and thank-you cards.
Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory.
Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Travel to other office locations as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
