About The Position

The Dental Assistant II assists with the delivery of patient care and contributes to the patient care team by providing a memorable and welcoming service experience. The role supports dental treatment and office operations, including preparing the office and treatment areas, assisting doctors, completing clinical procedures, documenting care, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The position is Saturday only and reports to the Practice Manager.

Requirements

Dental Assistant Certification.
Current CPR certification.
Infection Control Certificate.
Radiation Certificate.
Coronal Polishing Certificate.
Completion of KCDO competency assessment.
Upbeat personality.
Enjoy working with children.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Clean, neat, professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Dentrix.

Responsibilities

Perform daily office opening and closing duties.
Prepare treatment areas for patients according to procedures and protocols.
Welcome, comfort, and seat patients in preparation for dental treatment.
Assist doctors during treatment procedures.
Perform dental infection control procedures.
Take x-rays.
Perform cleanings.
Perform lab-related procedures.
Hand off patients at check-out.
Complete care calls and thank-you cards.
Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory.
Document dental care services in patient records.
Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Travel to other office locations as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
