About The Position

This position assists the Dentist at chairside during patient examinations and treatment. It also involves assisting in the dental lab and performing clerical duties related to the dental program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of and competency in sterilization, dental nomenclature, instrument passing, and preparation of dental materials.
• New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care Certification in Dental Radiography by the date of hire, maintained throughout employment; or proof of passing the DANB Radiation Health and Safety exam upon hire or transfer, followed by obtaining and maintaining a Dental Radiography Certificate within six months.
• Current BLS/CPR certification, maintained throughout employment, meeting the employer’s stated training requirements.
• Comply with required healthcare personnel testing and immunizations, including TB, Hepatitis B (consent or waiver), Tdap, MMR, Varicella, and influenza vaccination according to applicable dates.
