About The Position

The Demolition Worker removes building materials, furniture, ballast-tank counterweight, and scrap materials from vessels or from vessel sections on the ground. The role may also perform other tasks assigned by company supervisors to assist the production process.

Responsibilities

• Remove materials such as fiberglass and foam insulation, wood flooring, tile, concrete, wood frames, out-of-service electrical wiring, and light fixtures from vessels or vessel sections on the ground.
• Remove furniture such as foot lockers, bed frames, and cabinets.
• Remove counterweight from ballast tanks, including lead bars, pig iron, sand, and mud.
• Remove and sort scrap metal, sheet metal, copper or brass piping, and other materials from vessels or the ground.
• Perform other tasks deemed necessary by company supervisors to assist the production process.
