About The Position

The Demolition Laborer is responsible for safely tearing down, dismantling, and clearing commercial and residential structures or interiors. This position involves manual labor, operating specialized demolition equipment, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free job site while adhering strictly to safety guidelines and OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in demolition, construction, or general labor.
  • Strong understanding of job-site safety rules and hazard awareness.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy demolition equipment or specialized power tools.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 construction safety certification.
  • Prior experience handling debris sorting and waste management on commercial or industrial sites.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle, demolish, and tear down structures, walls, ceilings, and flooring using hand tools and power tools.
  • Remove and clear debris, rubble, and waste materials from job sites into containers or designated disposal areas.
  • Load and unload demolition materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with the setup of dust barriers, safety signage, and site containment areas.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and wrecking bars safely and efficiently.
  • Follow safety policies, environmental regulations, and OSHA standards at all times.
  • Coordinate work and instructions effectively with site supervisors, project managers, and crew members.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
